One of the most popular attractions, and highly controversial sports facility in all of Canada is the Olympic Stadium of Montreal. The stadium, created for the World Olympic Games 1976 attracted people worldwide.
The stadium was designed by French architect Roger Taillibert. It was built from 12,000 prefabricated elements, most of which weigh several tons. More than 10,000 men and women worked on the Stadium to be sure it was ready for the Olympics.

Post-Olympic Use

In 1977, the stadium replaced Jarry Park Stadium as the home ballpark of the famous Montreal Expos
The CFL (Canadian Football League) - Montreal Alouettes used the facility until 1986.
The Olympic Stadium was the home of the NASL's Montreal soccer team from 1981–1983.
The Stadium hosted several games of the 2007 FIFA Under 20 World Cup were played at Olympic Stadium and drew the large crowds.
A true champion of metamorphosis, the Stadium adapts itself to countless and diverse events: fairs, sporting events, motor sports, shows, exhibitions, film shoots, social events, etc
